Is the migration really free?
Yes, on any paid plan. We do the migration check for nothing, tell you what will and won't come across before you commit, and move it at no charge. You pay for the plan you end up on, not for the move.
Will my website go down while you move it?
No. We build the whole thing on Blinki first and you check it on a preview address. Your existing site stays live and untouched the entire time. The switch at the end is a DNS change, and it happens once you have said go.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
That is the thing we take most care over. Every old page address is mapped to its new one with a permanent redirect, so the pages Google already knows about keep their authority instead of turning into dead links. Titles, descriptions and headings come across as they are.
Do I have to move my domain to Blinki?
No. You can leave the domain where it is and just point it at us, or transfer it in and have everything on one bill. Either way it stays registered in your name.
What about my email? I don't want to lose that.
We leave your existing mail records exactly where they are, so nothing changes unless you ask it to. If you'd rather move your mailboxes to Blinki too, we do that as a separate, deliberate step - never as a side effect of moving the website.
How long does it take?
Most small sites are a few days from go-ahead to switch-over. Bigger ones with a shop or hundreds of pages take longer, and we tell you which yours is after the migration check - before you commit to anything.
What if my site is on something obscure?
Tell us what it is. If it is on the internet we can almost always get the content off it, even if it means rebuilding rather than importing. The migration check exists precisely so nobody finds out halfway through.
